A paid membership system is more secure and will remove spammers and those not interested in pole dancing. Overall more people would contribute to the community.

I need to understand the concept a little bit more, before I cast my vote
Is it necessary to pay for a forum?
What do you see as the additional benefits for members (other than a reduction of ads, peeps, and malicious spammers)?
Would the forum going private accomplish the same thing as a paid forum?
I know that moderators spend a lot of time maintaining their list (having been a moderator), so I am assuming that some of the monies would offset the managing of the list. I am not adverse to a fee as long as it is minimal and the overall quality of a site gets even better!
