Might it not be an idea for all new subscribers to be approved by ADMIN before being allowed to post? I know this increases your workload G but it might stop some of these virus/porn links being posted.

Would be happy to be a moderator to help you and I'm sure there are others who would help too

I think something like that would be a great idea, but has G got the time to do that? She is a very busy lady.

I agree that G is very busy, which is where a few moderators could help ease her workload. I'm on the internet most nights, at least for a while and I'm sure others are too. It's not like real moderation is required on here. People are friendly and we just need to be able to block the ISPs of idiots.

Anything to help G to keep this forum, which I love, alive.

I admit to not knowing how moderation and the abilities to such work but I'm sure G does and I'd love to help her and everyone on here.

As I've said I go on the net most nights and get up early for work. Given the power I'll happily zap some of these idiots if someone wants to share the job with me. Could even set up an informal rota for it.

My comp picked up a nasty virus a while back from one of those idiot links grrrr, it's all better now though and I'm glad to be back online again!

They're just sickos who get a thrill out of upsetting people. With, of course, the odd really malicious ones who are after your own data.
Hopefully they'll soon get tired of it when they see that they're being monitored and move on to another target.
